You can do whisky and liqueur tastings, see and smell the stills working, and learn all about our whisky making process at the distillery every day, without the need to book a tour.

Whisky Tastings are $15 (4 x 7.5ml pours) with the fee waived if you buy a bottle of Timboon whisky.

This tour provides an insight into our production process. Led by our Brand Ambassador, Charlie Johnson, you get to see our stills and learn how we make our beautiful, single malt whisky. Charlie will also lead you to our bond store for a tasting experience amongst the barrels. Tour takes 60 minutes and includes a Timboon Tote bag, etched Glencairn whisky tasting glass and bottle of water.

As you will arrive back at the distillery at noon, we recommend placing a separate lunch booking (not included in tour price) for 12pm by phoning 5598 3555.

Meet with Timboon Railway Shed Distillery Brand Ambassador Charlie Johnson

Charlie will introduce you to our copper stills and give you an overview of the whisky distilling process. Hear the inspirations behind the distiller's passion for our small batch, premium craft whisky and understand why our product is unique.

Walk along Power Creek to our mashing shed, cooperage & bond store.

On the way to the bond store, stop under the gums and hear the illicit distilling story of the area and how it influences our product in the 21st century. Inside the bond store, have a relaxed and down to earth discussion on our barrels, charring and maturation processes. Look, feel and smell the beauty of our whisky casks and learn why our Southern Victorian climate is perfect for whisky making. TASTE some ‘new make’ spirit, both our flagship single malts and something special straight from one of our maturing barrels! Receive a souvenir Timboon tote bag and tasting glass.

Share great regional food plates on our covered deck

Enjoy platters of regional produce to share for lunch with a glass of wine, beer or soft drink. After lunch, taste our vodka and liqueurs, including our famous Baxter’s coffee cream & new salted caramel whisky liqueur.
