FEEL THE RAIL HISTORY
Set within a beautifully restored historic railway shed, Timboon Railway Shed Distillery offers a relaxed and character-filled place to explore our handcrafted spirits.
We’re open 7 days a week, from 11am to 5pm, for guided tastings, drinks and bottle sales, with experiences led by a knowledgeable team who know our whisky inside and out. Whether you’re new to whisky or a long-time enthusiast, our tastings are designed to suit your palate, your curiosity and your pace.
The Railway Shed experience
The Shed is warm, welcoming and intentionally unhurried — a place to settle in, taste thoughtfully and enjoy the craft behind each bottle.
Alongside our spirits, we offer a small, artisanal food selection served throughout the day, made using high-quality local ingredients and designed to complement the distillery experience. It’s a considered offering that invites guests to graze, sip and linger, rather than rush through a traditional lunch service.
After your tasting, our team can help you choose bottles to take home or gift, whether it’s one of our own handcrafted releases or something special from further afield.
The Aussie Craft Spirits Wall
The distillery is also home to our Aussie Craft Spirits Wall — the largest display of Australian-only craft spirits at any distillery in the country.
With more than 185 spirits from over 90 distilleries and growing, it’s a unique opportunity to explore the depth and diversity of Australian distilling in one place. Guests can enjoy tasting flights, drams and take-home bottles, with our team on hand to guide the experience.

Located beside the Timboon Rail Trail and connected to Timboon Fine Ice Cream by footbridge, the Railway Shed is a natural stop for visitors exploring the town and the wider region.
Whether you’re here for a guided tasting, a casual drink or to discover something new, the Shed invites you to take your time and enjoy the spirit of Timboon properly.
BEHIND THE SCENES - GUIDED TOUR
TOUR OUR DISTILLERY, COOPERAGE AND BOND STORE
This guided tour offers an insider’s look into our whisky-making process. Hosted by one of our spirited Whisky Crew — they’ve got deep pours of knowledge and even deeper love for the dram, you’ll get up close to our stills and discover how we craft our signature single malt whisky, from grain to glass.
The tour also includes a visit to our cooperage and bond store, where you’ll enjoy a tasting experience surrounded by ageing barrels and rich, oaky aromas.
Tours run for 60 minutes and include a Timboon tote bag, an etched Glencairn whisky tasting glass, and a bottle of water.
Available Friday and Saturday at 2:30pm to 3:30pm and Sunday 10am to 11am*
